I don't want an iPhone.
Not because I dislike them, but because I really don’t think being attached to the internet at all times would be good for me. I’m dependent enough on it as it is.
The only reason I would get one is so I can have the tennis scores at all times.

I am not a festival person. I am also not a Vegas person. But whoa. WHOA. Pavement, Sonic Youth, Guided By Voices, Yo La Tengo, AND Superchunk?! WHOA.
Dear Las Vegas: Fuck You.

Now, how many men are willing to take agency over their sexual responsibilities? Don’t want a baby? Take a pill. Don’t want an STI? Wear a condom.

I've been feeling a bit rubbish today.
So, I’ve been doing what I normally do which is look at flights. Only this time I’m waiting for my grant money to come in before I can act on anything. Which makes this sight even harder:
I am going to finalise you sooner or later dream holiday!

I absolutely adore this video! I’m super fascinated about the construction of the nation, and identification to particular spaces through difference and Otherness, so watching this and seeing what people of ‘other’ nationalities think of England and the English is a real treat!

Fathers Day is always a weird one for me.
It comes up and takes me by surprise.
Sometimes I miss what could have been. Sometimes I’m just grateful to have had all that I have. It’s hard to know what you think when you lose something before you’re old enough to know what it means. This is my life, and I guess fathers day just reminds me that a lot of other people have things completely differently, for better or worse...

Great article on women's tennis in the Guardian. →
It’s the TV commentary, however, where the discrepancies are most obvious. At Wimbledon last year, after years of incremental slippage, focus from the commentary box on women players’ clothes, style and grunting was so blatant, so incessant, that almost everyone I spoke to at the time noticed it. There was a fuss over court placement – pretty lower seeds being bumped to the show courts...

Things I've enjoyed on Facebook this week:
Watching different groups of friends slowly get the news of Charlie Brooker and Konnie Huq’s engagement. It’s the slowest moving piece of indie-cool information out there. Kind of like Zooey and Ben only really, really slow.
I guess even commenting on it is antithetical to the Brooker ideology.

"Schnitzel"
Is the name I have given the small dog that currently exists only in my imagination.
Schnitzel would make a great companion if I had the time and money to give it the life it deserves.
